Fort Uncompahgre, Uintah, Robidoux and the Spanish Trails
Antoine Robidoux constructed and operated for a while three forts in present day Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. These Forts were supplied out of Mexican Santa Fe, although many of the trade goods were imported from the United States through St. Louis and thence along the Santa Fe Trail.
