Powder Horns For Sale.

These horns are carved with rings and octagonal flats and rubbed to a semi-gloss and finished with a woodworkers paste wax.  The horns generally measure from
10-13 inches around the outside curve from the end of the butte plug to the tip of the horn.
These horns are priced at $95 plus actual shipping costs.  A strap is not included.  Currently there is only one available.  The horns are hand made, and each is unique.  If you are interested in procuring one of these horns you
should email us expressing your interest.  We can provide you with photos and specific information regarding each powder horn in stock.

The horns are made by Michael Schaubs out of Littleton, Colorado.  Much of the work on the horns is actually done at public education events.  Michael has found that horn making is a great way to break the ice with many folks and get a conversation going.  To contact us for more information by email click here.

Otherwise Michael can be reached by regular dispatch at:

If you like the horn but can't afford it, making your own is not difficult.  With a set of files and rasps and a few basic woodworking tools you can craft a very similar horn in 20 to 25 hours.  For help and hints on making powder horns see the section: How to Make a Powder Horn.
